This is a Sri Lankan Chinese fusion shrimp dish, also called devilled shrimp in Sri Lanka. This is a sweet and spicy recipe that will add a kick to any meal, and is usually cooked for special occasions. This recipe is from my aunt, who is a fantastic cook. It is typically paired with other special dishes such as a cashew curry, yellow rice and batu (eggplant) moju. It can be paired with white rice, dhal curry and salad for a simple meal.
